Have a great and complete dinner with this hearty beef stew pack with herbs and wine. 

Preparation time: 30minutes
Cooking time: 2 ½ hours

1 kilo leg or shoulder of lamb or beef
    Cut into cubes, and trimmed the excess fats
400g bacon, diced
1 cup red wine
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 onion sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary
1 tsp. chopped marjoram
Salt and pepper

If you don’t have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs. Just add an extra tsp. on each.

1. Heat oil in a skillet.
2. Add bacon, onion, garlic and sauté until golden. Remove.
3. Add half the meat and brown all sides, remove and add the remaining meat.
4. Place the meat into a casserole and add the bacon, onion, herbs and garlic.
5. Season to taste.
6. Stir the wine and tomato paste.
7. Bring to boil and simmer until reduced in half.
8. Add enough water stock to cover the meat.
9. Cover and simmer until meat is tender.
10. You can add more wine to deepen the flavor.
