Ostrich is delicious. It is naturally low fat and low
cholesterol. Similar to lean beef.
INGREDIENTS:
500g ostrich breast fillet
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup lemon juice
2 red onions sliced into rounds
1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ cup water
PROCEDURE:
Mix soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and
pepper in bowl.
Marinate ostrich fillet in mixture for 1-2 hours.
Pat ostrich fillet dry and sear in a very hol pan with
oil till well browned and crushed on all sides.
This will cook the fillet to rare. Place in pre heated
oven if youd’ like in more done
While fillet is resting, pour marinade in searing pan,
add onions and simmer for 15 minutes.
Carve ostrich fillet and serve with sauce.
