SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN STRIPS IN SPICY SAUCE



INGREDIENTS:
¼ k chicken breast cut into strips
2 cloves garlic
1 medium sized onion minced
1 cup cooking oil
½ cup flour
1 egg beaten
3 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 cup water
3 tbsp. chili sauce
2 medium size bell pepper
1 medium size leek
1 carrot

PROCEDURE:
1. In a bowl mix salt, sugar, flour and beaten egg.
2. Add chicken strips and mix well.
3. Marinate for 5 minutes.
4. Deep fry chicken strips in oil until golden brown.
5. Set aside.
6. In a pan, sauté garlic, onion, carrot and bell pepper then add water and simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Add hot sauce and season with salt, sugar and vinegar.
8. In a platter pour sauce over the chicken and top it with chop leeks.
9. Serve hot as appetizer of main dish.
